You may have seen it on A&E's program, 'America's Castles' - or on HGTV's 'Christmas Castles'. This 37 room mansion, frequently called 'Colorado's Crown Jewell', was built in 1893 for the Thatcher family. Though no longer a family residence, it stands almost unchanged with nearly all the original furnishings. Hours are 10a - 4p Tue - Sat except major holidays and the entire month of February when it remains closed. Admission is $6 except for kids and seniors which receive discounts. But the big discount is for members of AAA: 50% off! They have their own web site at www.rosemount.org.
