| Can there be
anyone who has not heard of Niagara Falls? Though it's been called the
honeymooner's paradise, folks of all ages visit here for all kinds of reasons -
but with one common theme: be thrilled. And while Spring and Summer are the
prime times to view most waterfalls, Niagara is different. Our favourite time is
the dead of winter when the amazing, constantly changing nature-made ice
sculptures can be viewed. From late-November to early-January, the Niagara
Falls' “Festival of Lights” illuminates the falls thrilling visitors with
awesome light displays. |
There is so much
more to see in this region of Ontario than just the Falls. This is wine country.
Most of Canada's leading wines are produced here, some 12,000 acres (4,800 ha)
of vineyards. Many make it an annual pilgrimage just to come and tour the
wineries. In any case, a visit to St. Catherine (the Garden City) is in
order. |
