| The soulful, high-energy Las Vegas
performer Earl Turner will take his performances to another new level at The Rio
All-Suite Hotel and Casino. Turner will showcase his silky vocal styles and infectious grooves at 8 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, in the Copacabana Showroom within the Rio. Tickets are $39.95 each and available at the Rio Box Office. "I'm thrilled to be taking my act to the Copacabana Showroom," Turner said. "The room is much bigger, but the show will remain as up-close and personal as ever." Turner is a consummate entertainer. His show delivers both self-penned works and the best hits of his contemporaries. Singing and dancing with disarming flair, Turner plays five instruments and performs everything from gospel to rhythm and blues, pop to rock 'n' roll. He commands the full spectrum of music and vocal range, making each performance individual and original. The Rio's main showroom allows Turner to showcase his talents to larger audiences without sacrificing his trademark audience interaction. |
Turner's musically gifted parents influenced their son's decision to become an
entertainer. His mother is an extraordinary pianist and his father possesses an
amazing gospel voice. Turner began playing bass guitar at age 13, and by age 18, packed his bags to go on tour with a popular Chicago band. The young, stylish musician kept striving for the spotlight and, by early 20s, was given his first opportunity to take the limelight. Ever since, Turner has been captivating audiences throughout the U.S. and Canada with his remarkable versatility. Turner recorded a top 50 hit single, "Love Caught You By Surprise," and quickly made a name for himself after arriving to Vegas in 1989. Over the years, Turner has collected some fine accolades, including being named Las Vegas' "Best Male Vocal Performer" by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. In addition, Turner is continuously recognized as one of the "must see" performers on the Las Vegas entertainment circuit. |
