Canada Place

Remember, Vancouver is a port city - a busy port city. It is a regular calling port for those big cruise ships and most of them dock at Canada Place.  Built to look like an huge schooner, Canada Place is a thriving convention center. You can also get an excellent view of the harbor (pay telescopes are installed). And, if you get hungry, there is a food court on the lower deck.

By the way, Canada Place also has an IMAX theater.
